IT Support Technician

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2-5 years of IT support experience; installing, maintaining, and monitoring Server systems and networks.
  • Computer Science degree/certificate, Associate or equivalent
  • Knowledge of computer networking and Microsoft server
  • Excellent oral and written comprehension, and active listening
  • A solid understanding of a Windows-based operating systems and Active Directory
  • A solid understanding of networking concepts
  • Able to maintain a positive and professional attitude and empathy towards the clients
  • Service oriented, organized, and punctual
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work well in a team and independently
  • Professional Certification: MCSE or any other certifications that provide value for the organization, preferred

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Working within Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016 through 2022, MS Office and Office365, routers and wireless, and a host of other platforms and applications
  • Support various customers in and around the Bay Area on site or remotely
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server of various versions
  • Configure and manage system backups and recovery
  • Setups, configure, troubleshoot networking, server hardware, and software problems
  • Install and/or upgrade end user workstations and provide end user support when needed
  • Author and maintain technical documentation
  • Identify tasks which require automation and automate them
